K-Zone Headquarters Awards 2009

7 06 2009

The first KHQ awards happened two-three years ago, started by the_half_blood_prince in a message board called K-Zone Headquarters, or KHQ. For some reason, for two years, the awards were there, then stopped after those two years. That was 2008, when there was no KHQ Awards. Finally, because of some suggestion in Plurk, tehdgenerate or better known as BucketHead in KHQ, agreed to host the KHQ Awards of 2009. There were 19 original awards from the KHQ awards of the previous years, and 3 newly added awards.

The Best Avatar, the Best Signature, the Most Controversial Topic of the Year, the Best Mod, the Most Amusing member, the Most Intelligent Member, the New Member of the Year, the KHQ Member of the Year, the Best Graphics Artist, the Best KHQ Board, the Most Informative Member, The Friendliest/Kindest Member, Mr./Ms. 24/7, the KHQ Veteran of the Year, the KHQ Loveteam of the Year, the Best Roleplayer, the Best Roleplaying Thread, the Best Blog, the Best Post, and finally, the Hall of Fame award, were the awards the members were competing for. It was all healthy competition, no one needed to be sad or anything if they lost, because just by being nominated, they proved that they were winners.

So… yeah. I was nominated for a couple of things, like most intelligent member, new member of the year, KHQ member of the year, most informative member, best roleplayer, best graphics artist, and along with my favorite people, the DLS girls, we were nominated for Hall of Fame and the best blog. OK, now I sound like I’m bragging, but no, I most certainly am not, even though I’m one of the most narcissistic members of KHQ, I’m not. LOL.

Winning three out of the six awards I was nominated in really flattered me; I didn’t expect I’d be a three-peat winner, and according to Mesh, “practically slaughtering us all”, and Arche and Paco, “DOMINAAAAAAATING!”

Yes Mesh, we dominated. But yes, like you said, I took firstblood. Gah. Now look what happens when you’re a DotA addicted soul plus conceit. Heh. Anyhow, moving on.

I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me as the Best Roleplayer, it really meant a lot to me, especially since I really love roleplaying. Though I might not be the best roleplayer out there, and that I might have some flaws as an roleplayer too, but yeah. I thank you all. It just goes to show that effort goes somewhere. See, I might not join every RP there is, but if I do join an RP, I give it my all, from the profile to the posts, yeah. I honestly did not expect to win, since the competition was tough, especially since I was competing with really good roleplayers like Paco (Random) and Kris (Grell). But guess what? I won by a landslide! That really made me so happy, and so love–*shot*.

Also guys, hurray for group efforts! Kris, Pollah, Mesh and I, otherwise known as the “DLS Girls” or “DLS Team” to the awesome people, or “DLS bitches/backstabbers/epiK n00bs” to the ones who got butthurt, we won the best blog award, and we were nominated as the “most controversial” members! Pollah, Kris, Mesh, thanks for helping get rid of summer boredom, and thanks for being a part of the most epik people I know. People who voted for us, we love you all too. Thanks for voting for KHQ-DLS, a blog that doesn’t censor anything that is the truth. Having over 2,600 page views, one view per IP, and not just from the Philippines too! We’ve got hits from Germany, Norway, Canada, Italy, Thailand, Sweden, Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, and the United States, which makes over 10 countries! The blog was a huge hit, and I can’t believe it started because a conversation between Mesh and I over Yahoo! Messenger. I remember, some time during April when “Sasori the Puppeteer” of KHQ went and made this group called ‘PWNZ’ which claimed to be the ‘n00b’ version of the epik KHQ group ‘RAWR’. ‘PWNZ’ had many notable members. Timmy, Sasori the Puppeteer/Maia, xyronred, deatH_eateR_iRis (Mod, very disgraceful mod.), Nero Winterheart (or now known as Escplancer or whatever), and some others, like RE:member (now Worst Nightmare, the worst nightmare of any sane forumer) started this chatroom called “KHQ chat”, where they mocked us, the DLS girls. We were outnumbered. I mean, four of us and Maia and all her supporters. But guess what? We still emerged on top. So hah. Thanks guise, also thanks to our friend, Garcher, and the person who gives awesome tips, Aya Shameimaru. (And yes, this part of my speech was based on Meshikarp’s. Why? Because I’m bored.)

Most Intelligent Member and New Member of the Year is once again, unexpected. Mostly because I was competing against my unromatic bb, Mesh, Arche, and Ariel. So yeah. Thanks guise. I feel so loved. Yeah.

Since I’m all out of words of thanks and all that jazz, I now bid you adieu.

A new introductory post of some sort.

1 06 2009

I realize that this is my… fifth or sixth blog this year, but I don’t really care much about that right now, because this time, I’m actually gonna try to blog with substance… sorta. Usually, I get bored with blogging pretty easily, especially during summer when there really isn’t anything to do, which is probably the reason why  had this urge to get started blogging again because it’s almost the start of school. You might be thinking, ‘Hey, isn’t that the time when you’re supposed to be busy studying and not being online and all that jazz?’ Well, the answer to that question is… well, time management, my dear. It’s one of the only things I’m good at.

Moving on, the author of all this madness is a thirteen-year-old girl named Therese, who is pretty much indecisive about what the content of this blog will be, so yeah, it might be quite… random. I don’t know what I’ll write about next, to be honest, and I don’t intend to go ‘daily journal’ on this blog like I did with my previous blogs, because right now I want to try something different.

And no, that doesn’t mean I won’t be any fun by going all, “OMFGFTL–*SHOT*” and all that other things I do. But yeah. That’s pretty much all. I know it’ll pretty much be a miracle if I get readers, but if and when I do, I hope they enjoy the stuff I write here. That’d be great. Yeah.

I now bid you adieu till the next post.
